NIKKE Dororong Meme Hwatu Review

—

A Korean hwatu set that slips Dororong into classic flower-card art. Cute where she appears, ordinary where she does not.

Overview

GNFTOYZ’s NIKKE DORORONG Meme Hwato is a standard 48-card hwatu deck with Dororong drawn into some of the monthly suits. The joke works: Dorothy’s meme form sitting on pine, plum, iris, or peony still looks like her. The catch is the same as the appeal. She is not on every card.

The extra animals that show up instead are small and keep a similar blank-cute face, so the deck does not feel empty when Dororong is missing. Still, if you buy this only to see her on every suit, you will notice the gaps.

For a meme that started as forum emotes and later became official merch, a playable hwatu set is a strange but fitting endpoint. The price is in line with a themed deck, not a collectible chase item.

Price and availability

Korean shop price is usually 12,000 KRW, sometimes listed closer to 13,000–17,000 KRW. That is about three times a plain hwatu pack, which is normal for character merch.

Japan listing price seen around 1,650 yen at reservation shops, with import stores closer to 2,560 yen. Stock comes and goes. This is regular goods, not a limited print run.

Mercari resale

Sold listings for this exact deck are thin. It does not look like a high-resale item. Expect near retail if a copy appears, plus shipping. Do not treat it as scarce.

What’s in the deck

48-card hwatu set (12 months × 4)
6 extra cards: +1 / +2 / +3 bonus Dororong cards, plus three “DORORONG” extras with different faces
Outer box and small case

Dororong shows up as a gwang, ribbon, animal, or sneak-in extra on some months. Other cards stay close to normal hwatu art, just redrawn in this style. The bonus cards are the most “meme” part of the set and are useful if you house-rule extra points.
