in CLAMP

Newtype November 2009 appendix. Court cards carry series art. Pip cards do not.

Verdict

Mixed. Fine if you want a handleable CLAMP object. Weak if you want illustration on every card.

Appendix to Monthly Newtype November 2009 (on sale 10 October 2009). Packaged as CLAMP ALL CHARACTER CLAMP TRUMP. Kadokawa. Magazine cover that month was Kobato.Paper stock is thin. Print on the illustrated cards is not sharp. Number cards use the same small mascot figures in repeated poses.

Specs

Standard Japanese magazine-appendix trump format. Four suits, court cards, jokers, plus extra CLAMP TRUMP cards matching the box art. No published card stock weight or finish listed with the issue. Notes on hand: paper quality is low; printing on the character cards is not particularly clean.

Price

Came with the magazine (list 660 yen including tax). No original standalone list price. Do not treat secondary listings as official pricing.

What’s in the deck

A–10 of each suit: one or two small black/white rabbit-style mascots placed among the pips. Count does not fill the rank. Poses repeat.
Jacks, queens, kings: color illustrations from well-known CLAMP titles (notes list Chobits, Cardcaptor Sakura, Code Geass among others).
Jokers: separate illustrated cards (blue crowned/top-hatted dog character).
Extra cards and box use the orange check pattern with the same mascots.

Not a full-illustration deck.
