Helluva Boss Kimono Clear Card Collection Review – 22 designs, blind packs

movic's Helluva Boss Memorial Clear Card Collection in the kimono

Quick Verdict

movic’s Helluva Boss Memorial Clear Card Collection in the kimono (wafuku) theme is a set of collectible clear cards, not a TCG — there are no game rules or card text involved. The lineup spans 22 designs split between chibi and regular versions, sold in packs of two with random assortment, and the box itself warns that a single box may not complete the set. The kimono outfits give the whole set a unified look, and the clear PP material makes the cards genuinely pleasant to hold up to light. Best for fans who have watched the show and want the characters on the shelf. Less suited to anyone expecting a guaranteed full set from one box.

What’s in the Box

One pack holds 2 cards; one box holds 11 packs, for 22 cards total. The assortment is random across all 22 designs, and the packaging explicitly notes that a single box may not cover every design — duplicates are possible. The front of the box shows the Helluva Boss logo with five characters illustrated in kimono, along with the product name (ヘルヴァボス メモリアルクリアカードコレクション), the 22-design count, and the card size of about 5.5 × 9 cm. The back shows six chibi samples, the fine print, the maker movic, made in Japan, ages 15 and up, and the TM and © SpindleHorse marks.

Chibi vs Regular

The 22 designs are divided into chibi and regular versions. The chibi cards take each character’s appeal, shrink it into cute proportions, and add kimono outfits on top — the combination that won me over the moment I saw the samples. The regular versions carry the characters’ usual charm in the same kimono theme, so neither side of the set feels like filler.

In Hand

Because the cards are clear, the illustrations show through when held up to light, which is the main visual pleasure of this product. The material is PP, so there is no worry about water damage. The trade-offs are worth knowing: the backs are completely plain with nothing printed, so any scratch will show immediately, and the cards are on the thin side, so bending is a real risk during storage and handling. They deserve sleeves or a rigid case if you plan to keep them long term.

What Surprised Me

I have watched all of Helluva Boss, so skipping this collection was never an option — this was an instant buy for me. Verosika is my favorite character, and her kimono illustration stood out the most in person. I will also admit the box’s warning did its job on me: worried that one box would not complete the set, I bought four boxes. I am still figuring out what to do with the other three.

Who It’s For

Helluva Boss fans who collect character goods for display. People drawn to the kimono theme, the chibi art style, or clear-card materials in general.

Who It’s Not For

Anyone looking for a playable card game — these have no game function whatsoever. Also not for set-completionists buying a single box, since the packs are random, duplicates happen, and the box itself says a full set is not guaranteed.

How to Check

Ask the seller for a photo of the box back showing the JAN and the random-assortment notice. For the cards themselves, ask for a photo held against light so you can confirm the clear print is clean and unscratched, and check the edges for bending since the cards are thin.
